Milwaukee Public Schools Scholarship Program
A new Milwaukee Public Schools Scholarship program was established in 2009 through a generous anonymous donation to the MPS Foundation. The donor provided seed funding to establish the scholarship program as a show of support for public education in Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin.
In the first year (June 2010 high school graduates) five $5,000 scholarships were awarded to students enrolled in the Milwaukee Public Schools to attend a public college or university in the state of Wisconsin. The scholarships may be renewed for up to three years pending successful completion of renewal criteria and availability of funding.
